Stray Cats is composed of Brian Setzer, who is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Lee Rocker (bass) and Slim Jim Phantom (drums). The three met in Long Island, New York and began producing music and trying to sell concert tickets. They finally took off as a band when they went to the United Kingdom to play at small clubs and bars. They were a smash hit in the early 1980s with songs like "Runaway Boys," "Rock This Town," and "Stray Cat Strut."
