Motorsports tickets have been sold to the Nicorette 300 since 1992, when the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton opened to host the Busch Series event. Jeff Gordon went on to win the first Nicorette 300, and Mark Martin has won the NASCAR race three times, as of the 2006 season. From 2000-2005 the race was known as Aarons 312.
